Review the cap insert on the complete sample

The outer cap shape is only one part of a closure discussion. Its internal insert and the proposed pump/collar assembly affect seating, removal and overall appearance. An exact cap reference plus an assembled sample is a stronger starting point than a visual resemblance.

Real perfume packaging reference supplied for product selection

Identify the inside as well as the outside

Record the external cap reference, material direction and finish. Ask which insert is supplied and which assembly it is intended to work with. If an illustration shows only the outer shell, keep the internal construction as an open item instead of assuming it matches another cap.

Observe seating and removal

Check that the sample sits in the intended position and can be removed as expected. Note gaps, rocking, visible misalignment and any contact with the actuator. Record observations without creating an unagreed force specification; acceptable retention and the relevant test method should be defined for the project.

Inspect the complete presentation

Compare cap height and width with the bottle, collar and packaging. Confirm whether a magnetic, weighted, resin, wood or other catalogue direction is the intended reference, without assuming every variation is available. Check visible finish against an agreed physical sample and consider surfaces touched by an insert or box.

Control the approved combination

Keep the cap, insert, pump, collar and bottle references in one approval record. Treat a component substitution as a change requiring review of the affected characteristics. Fit, availability, commercial quantities and schedule remain confirmation items for the selected combination.
